How long does the application take?
Processing times at Customs and what you can do to avoid delays.
At Customs
The authority states that a complete application is processed within 48 hours; in practice it can take longer. Nobody can guarantee or speed up the authority’s own processing. After activation it can take another 24 to 48 hours before the number appears in the EU register.
With us
After payment we check your data and usually submit the application within one working day. You receive a confirmation with a copy of the application.
Avoiding delays
- State the correct territorial customs office and first customs formality — this determines who is responsible for your application
- Copy the company register number and VAT number exactly from your register extract
- Attach a company register extract in the original language
- Name of the signatory in block letters, date and signature
- Provide an e-mail address you read daily
